Im mainly looking at another mission, but i havent had a big B ball since the total inferno.

Im really considering a 2.5 or 3.5 but im not really sure where they fit, so i need some help.

My mission has some slight polish, as will whatever ball i drill up....at least for now. I dont really hit enough oil for anything with surface, at least not with my rev rate anyway.

I do have a gap between my mission & my fast(duh) but its not nearly as large as i thought it would be. Its really only about 8 boards, 10 max.

Where would a slightly polished 3.5 or 2.5 fit in. Im assuming i would toss my fav drill on the 2.5(see sig) but the 3.5 i would go pin up.

bah....so many choices, so little knowledge about the new brunswick stuff.

both C systems from what ive seen lately hook more than the mission.. I wasnt really all that impressed by any of the 3 ppl ive seen throw it ( all above 200 avg with quite a good rev )

I'm rather unfamiliar with Brunswick gear, but I can safely say both of the C-Systems, as well as the Sieges, are much more aggressive than the Mission. I threw all 4 of those balls at a demo day and while I enjoyed the C-System balls a lot, everything hooked more than my Mission. They all had very similar drillings to my Mission as well, so the comparison was actually pretty fair

I would say go with a mild, symmetric core with a solid or hybrid coverstock. If you like the length of Ebonite/Storm gear, check into a Hy-Road. That should really fit the bill if you ask me. If you want to try Brunswick, I saw some good things from the Diamondback at a local house. I never threw it and I don't know very much about it, but it seemed like a great smoother rolling ball to me.

The diamondback would be too much ball imo to fit there. The Hy-road on the other hand would work great

yea I love my DB.. Rolls very smooth but its more for medium-heavy conditions..

There are a lot of options in the Brunswick line for filling that gap, so I guess it depends on what specific type of reaction shape you're looking for.

If you're looking for change of direction down lane, then you'd want to look at the 2.5 or 3.5. Of the two, the 3.5 is more adept at handling volume in front, but you'd probably be able to stay with the 2.5 longer as the condition transitions.

If you want something more even from front to back, then I'd give some serious consideration to the Evil Siege. It has that old Zone Classic type of look, while having a better presence through the pin deck. The Diamondback could also work in this spot, but you'd probably have to bring up the surface.

Lol so your saying if you drilled a 3.5 really weak and polished it , it would hook less than your mission drilled to hook with a weight hole..?? Wow , sounds like a pretty fair comparison, LOL thats like saying your stock camaro would beat a corvette with a cobalt motor....

and also why buy a hi end heavy oil ball when you could get something cheaper, drill it RIGHT to maximize its performance ?

I would go with the 2.5. The 3.5 is so strong. you may find a small overlap there. Just my .02

there is a huge difference between going with a high pin(as in over the bridge) & putting some polish on a ball, and throwing an axis drilling & taking it to 4000+the most polish u can get on a ball.

Im not stupid, i know equipment and drillings, i just dont know enough about the 2.5 & 3.5 to know if putting a slightly weaker drill than my mission will get the ball to be below my mission.

As for the polish, my mission has some polish over the OOB surface, i did it b4 i even threw it.

I typically hate balls with surface, without polish equipment tends to burn up on me, i dont hit tons of oil....its not a burn, or even probably anything under medium oil, but i NEVER hit anything heavy.

Again, let me reiterate im not trying to "drill down" either the 3.5 or 2.5, im just simply stating that my mission has a fairly strong drilling on it.

Basically the question is, would a 2.5 with a little more polish & a similar drill to my mission do the trick. Or would a 3.5 with a weaker drill+polish(i dont typically put a strong drilling on a really strong ball, its major overkill for me) get me into the ballpark that im wanting to be in.

My problem is that im really wanting to try out 1 of these balls, but im not going to kill it with a drilling, and i want to make sure it fits where i need it to.

If these wont fit for me, i can always drill up another mission.

The missions ive seen are pretty smooth with a nice arc which is how yours rolls I assume ? The 2.5 that I did roll was more angular than I thought and that was hit with 4000 , then polished I believe? But yea It is pretty aggressive even on heavier oil..

Actually my mission revs nice in the midlane, then turns over HARD, its actually pretty angular. Ive left 3 8 pins since i bought it, & the ball actually missed them to the left. After hitting the hole, it was coming from so far outside that it actually drove past the 8 pin.

Anyway, angular isnt a problem for me. I mainly need slightly less overall boards with a different look.

First game, my mission works great, it is also great 3rd game. 2nd game of league i hit transition & the mission wont turn the corner if i move left, & if i stay where i was, its beak city. What i need is something that gives me a bit more length & maybe 2 boards weaker for middle game of league.

My fast would kinda work, but it would be a pretty big jump right to get it into the hole with any sort of decent energy.
