Title: Groove Urethane Question

How would this ball match up to light to dry conditions if I drilled It like my Groove Reactive(picture in profile)? How much of a diffrence would there be between the PG reactive and the PG urethane if they where drilled the same way?

Expect the Urethane to react much different... tamer, smoother. It is not comparable to a reactive like the Power Grooves. You will have to play down and in, a swing across the lane is difficult unless you have much hand.
But if you want control and a smooth curve to the pocket on dry ground (instead of an itchy pearl ball), a Urethane ball is just the ticket!

Urethane offers good versatility, but some of the stuff that's out there today is a little bit weak in the hit department. If you're planning on using it in order to stay in control on tougher patterns, you're probably going to like what you see. Don't, however, expect the ball to be a go-to scoring option. From what I've seen, most of the newer urethane balls lack the punch needed to provide that option.

Another word to the wise:  The urethane Groove has a pancake block.  It doesn't have the side cylinders that the Power Grooves have.  So you'd be looking at a lot less flare potential in addition to the tamer cover.

I'm looking to get it for my JOG sport shot league. The first week they put out a short pattern and I struggled using my PG, the way you are descried it sounds like it is just what I need. Before I go out and get a new ball I'm going to polish my Ebonite Ice allot and see how it works out.
