If so is it a good ball? How does it react and how do you have it drilled?

Mine is drilled pin over bridge,cg center palm.Goes long good snap on the backend.Quite a strong ball handles med/light to light...waste of time on any thing above med/light and too strong for a genuine dry.
OK ball for suitable conditions but I also have a Desert Heat which is a much better ball for same cond.

Smooth, archy, very nice for lighter conditions or backends.

I tested one, pin below ring and PSA at 135°. THS with good head oil and 8 dry outside boards. Stood at 28th board with my right shoe tipm paling across 3rd arrow for a narrow swing. Very smooth curve on medium-dry conditions, great control, as far as I can tell.
Convincing carry. Nice performance ball for grippy lanes. Could be an option for me.

mine's drilled pin above the ring, mb right of thumb, and it's surprising how much it hooks, being that i heard it was a "dry lane ball" even on normal fresh ths, it's very skid-flippy for me, and overall hooks pretty hard. i've got to play quite a bit of a swing w/ it to make it work.

Yeah, it's very skid/flippy. It can be squirty too, naturally, but if you've got head oil and backends, it's an absolute beast. It reads the dry way too hard to be used on spotty or drier conditions, but it'll eat up a house pattern. Rolls back up well too, doesn't roll out or hook/set. When it starts moving it keeps moving. Mine forces me to play quite a bit of a swing too, but it's definitely a great ball.

I just drilled one Tuesday (Rico drill). The ball for me is rather mellow; the drilling helps this out. I tried it on the fesh house shot and too much oil for that. I really want to try this ball on a short pattern or broken down pattern. I think it has great potential.

Good medium-light type ball. I recently drilled mine up, but have only thrown 3 games with it so far. Has very good length and makes a hard arc in the back.
But for what they go for on ebay ($10-25 plus shipping, NIB) you can't go wrong.

Hey ak, how did you end up having that ball laid out?

Slapped the pin about an inch right of the ring finger (not sure of exact distance to PAP) with a small weighthole (since the CG was offline to the right, there was really no way to avoid it).

Does anyone know what a good layout for this ball would be for a high rev medium speed bowler on the THS. I am wanting to have banana effect not a skid/flip. This will be only my third Brunswick and the first one was 9 years ago and the second is a Red Alert Plus (overseas ball)

Not having seen you bowl, it would be difficult to recommend a specific layout. That said, though, I've seen a number of local bowlers have success with a layout with the pin at 4" to 4 1/2" from the PAP, and the PSA locator in a strong position. This gets the ball started sooner, and takes some of the "bow" out of the break. If you can use this layout and kick the CG, even better; this will give you the leeway of adding a balance hole to further tweak the reaction if needed.
I have a ZC Red Pin in the closet that I'm thinking about drilling, and I'll probably go with a layout similar to this.
Also, the surface on the ZC Red Pin is *very* friendly to surface adjustments, so don't be afraid to put it on the spinner if needs be.
