Has anyone had a Brunswick Inferno ball die on them ?

Yes ball needs hot water bath or revivor machine, my shop revives activator covers all the time. The machine runs at 140 degrees and sweats out the oil works like a champ, you will be surprised some of the balls are over 1000 games now.

I posted a few weeks ago that my OI had bit the dust.  I threw it in the rejuventor and barely any oil came out of it.  I sanded it down to 400 grit, tried the rejuventor again...nothing.  I re-polish it back to box condition, throw it back in the rejuvenator...nothing.  After that i threw it on our fresh THS and it rolled so bad i had to put it away.  My other Brunswick balls made it look like plastic. Oil just sat on the cover, it was so weird.  I had revived my AI, ebonite One and other balls, but this one did nothing. Still got it in the back of the pro shop sitting there wondering what to try next.  I dont want to give it away, it was such a good ball for a year or two.  Any suggestions.

A person in my team has a "dead" UI. But its just because he never cleans it.

YOu or the pro shop from which you bought it should ball Brunswick or their distributor and decsribe what you did to revive it. Then ask them what to do and how to proceed.

Be surprised if they didn't give you a replacement ball. won't be an OI, of course.

Vigilant cleaning goes a LONG way towards preserving the life of a ball.  It's amazing how many people don't clean their equipment or leave it in the car to be susceptible to extreme conditions, etc.

These reactive balls are so sensitive you have to really take care of them.

I had the same problem with my OI. Of course the ball probably had 500 games on it at that time. To make a long story short what I found was that I had to put some games on it before it was right again.
 This makes sense to me as all the activator(and some other Brunswick covers) that I have had have had to track up a little before they really came to life.

i've had great luck with brunswick balls( including the inferno line )by having them run through the rejuvenator and having them resurfaced on a haus-type machine. their reaction is restored to just like new.
