no i dont believe just because it has the same core they will react the same but from what i've heard from people that have thrown both, they are the pretty similar. im just asking for another opinion on the ball

well i have an ultra zone. will the blast zone be much of a difference with a diff cover? from my understanding they have the same core correct?

Do you REALLY think because one ball has the same core as another, they will both perform the same?

No wonder you have such a hard time chosing balls!

The coverstock/cover makes a larger difference than the core by, in general, a factor of 7:3.

Besides the fact that one is a pearl with a compound polish and the other is a solid with an 800 grit sanded finish, the ULtra ZOne's pearl would have to be INCREDIBLY strong for them to have a remotely similar ball reaction. They do not.

You might ask these people, who found them "similar", to further describe how they tested these ball. If it was on a house blended pattern, you might ask them to test them again.

I just tried a Blast Zone that I picked up in a trade and it's a Hook Monster for sure.the layout ends up being 5 1/2"x4" pin under mid finger and on a fresh medium flat 40 it would'nt clear the mids at all,no probs in the heads though where I usually have problems with strong equipment.should be a good oiler if I ever see any.thought I'd chime in.

The Fury was a great heavy oil ball.  But Brunswick discontinued it.
