Blast Zone or Fury before the Twisted.  Most wouldn't use a semi-shiny pearl for heavy oil conditions unless the backends are truly flying.  Mammoth.

I guess Fury, but I hated mine. If I had to buy a heavy oiler from big B, I would try the Mammoth, or Blast Zone.

I have a Fury - 1000G abralon + Ruffbuff + Beans- was too strong and Early OOB

I have seent the Twisted but not the Blast.  I tend to Polish everything as well.

The Mammoth but only if there's a huge puddle on the lanes. Some people have taken the cover up in grit and had some good success with it on a normal, fresh oil shot.

Can the Mammoth still be bought? I thought the BVP line was no longer being produced.

I'd have to say Blast Zone.  I still don't know why people didn't like their Furys, I love mine, it eats my synthetic house alive.

Sounds like it's burning up.. Try to move a little left of your initial ballpath.. Or try to take it up to a higher grit.. Don't worry it will still move if you can find oil in the mids.. You may have to square up a bit to begin with but the ball won't burn up as quick.. I have mine at 4000 Abralon now and it still burns a hole in any pattern i've tried within 6-8 frames.. But at 4000 i can use it for a couple of games with just moving my line and/or throwing harder.. At Box-finish it would burn up before i got it outta my bag..
Give it a shot.. This ball will serve you great on the right condition..

On edit..

I haven't thrown one, but the Blast Zone looks like a good oiler..
