I'm appealing to all of you guys who have had experience with both the Evil Siege and the Wicked Siege. I know that the Wicked Siege is the newest model, but that is no guarantee that that the replacement ball is necessarily the better ball. I currently have an Evil Siege drilled pin down 45 x 4.5 x 70 and like the way it rolls except that it constantly leaves 7 pins (I'm left handed). I have the opportunity to purchase a second Evil Siege with a 4" pin to CG that I would drill pin up or a Wicked Siege with a 2.75" pin to CG which I would drill pin down.
Regardless of the drilling, I am curious as to whether you prefer the Wicked Siege over the Evil Siege or vice-versa and the reasons why?
Personally, I'm not a big fan of rough buffed finished balls and prefer the 4000 micro-pad finish on the Evil Siege, however I know that the Wicked Siege cover can be changed, but that would also change the balls reaction, right.
Lastly, in all of the literature that I have read on the Brunswick website, I can't find the procedure that Brunswick uses to refinish its micro-pad finished balls. They always print how to refinish the polished covers and the rough buff covers, but not the sanded covers. Take the Evil Siege or Wild Thing for instance, both balls have a final 4000 micro-pad finish, but how did Brunswick reach that final finish? Do they start at 220or 400 or 500 then proceed to maybe 1000, 2000 then finish up with 4000? Any help will be appreciated. I've got a C-System 4.5 with the factory rough buff finish that I'm not really happy with the balls reaction, any suggestions for a change of finish; I was thinking of either 2000 or 4000 abralon?
Thanks,
