Should send ball back?

I odered the Absolute Inferno and just notice a few things I didnt notice before.They appear on both labels the Absolute Inferno and the Activator Coverstock+.Dont know what to best desribe them but they appear on sevearl of the letters.I would call them tiny little chips or little tiny wholes  I guess.I can see white on every one them.If it was just one I wouldnt worry about it.But theresseveral of them all on the letters.I bought it from Bowlers Paradise which I bought one before with no problems.Its not drilled yet was about getting ready too.Glad I took another look at it.Also if I send it back will it be to Brunswick or Bowlers Paradise? Thank-You

Sorry No camera and these chips are not near the numbers there on the letters .Im just wandering if more were to come off if I were to bowl with it I can see white underneath them.My 30 days are not up yet Im gonna call Bowlers Paradise and see if I can exchange it or contact Brunswick .

Take the ball to your pro shop and ask the person there if they notice that as a bad thing (since no camera available). They should have a better idea of what if anything is wrong. It is more than likely from the engraver at B, so not to worry.

You can go ahead and drill it and go bowl with it. It is really nothing, but rest assured that if something bad comes of it, you have a one year warranty from Brunswick on factory defects. Like the others said though, have a pro shop check it and give their opinion.

I don't know how strict they would be on that.  I drilled a PG, pin above bridge and it tracked over the thumb.  I contacted BrunsRicH and he worked it out to replace the ball for me.  I was only out additional shipping costs.

Looked at my Absolute today and there were no chips or marks in it. I agree with everyone about taking it to your shop person to get their opinion.

Technically, you also void the warranty by drilling any hole within one inch of the riser pin, or by not sufficiently beveling the drilled holes.  However, I've yet to see a warranty claim refused because of any of these issues.

Thanks Everybody I will show it to the guy at the house I bowl.Dont think I will worry as much now.Probably wouldnt make sense to send it back to exchange it cause I dont know if I will even been able to bowl with.Im going from a 12# to a 14# ball I do have a 13# one but dont use it much. I hope I get the right span I will feel comfortable with going to a heavier ball .Couple years ago I had a old one redrilled and they made it too short.

I would send it back to where you purchased it.  If you had used your local pro shop, it would of made it easier for you.  
As for the ball, why would you accept a ball with small defects?  You paid good money for it and deserve a non defect products.  This brings up a great question the Brunswick booth couldn't answer at ABC's.  How come Brunswick doesn't have X-out balls?  Are they the only ones to make all of their balls perfect?  I heard from other pro shops that they never had x-out balls and sell them for the normal price with or without defects.

That's funny!
I found out this week why that is: the riser pin on Brunswick balls is just a marker. I wanted the pin precisely between the finger holes. My driller did that and we saw a huge void about 3/4" below the cover. On my other ball that I drilled the same, a Columbia Messenger Ti, the pin is the top of a plastic dowel that holds and is attached to the core, and is used to hold the core during the pour of the coverstocks around the core, as I had originally learned.

Seems the pin on Brunswick ball is just a marker at the top.

I was worried about the huge void between the finger holes, but driller said the ball is and will be fine.

Funny you should bring this up, and sorry to get a bit off topic here...

Long ago, I had a C/Beast, drilled with the pin just above the ring finger.  One night when I was bowling league, I felt something rattling near the bottom of my ring finger hole.  Turned out that the ring finger hole had been drilled into the bottom of the pin, and that part of the pin had broken off and fallen into the finger hole.  It was about 1 1/2" inches long, orange, and round at the bottom.  I think I still have it around here somewhere;  I'll have to see if I can hunt it up.
