Does anyone have the drill sheet for this ball? I've been reading about this ball and had no idea that I have one of the original Mass Bias balls. Was going to let it sit and collect dust but now I'm considering having it filled and re-drilled.

I noticed one being used by one of the players in PBA Japan. Are they making a resurgence?

I have an original Black Phantom that I use and it is pretty strong, even on today's THS. I have to play away from the pocket and hope it carries when it gets back. The only problem I have with it is my center doesn't have a good lengthwise taper and the carry down ruins any carry I have to start the night.

Too strong to play up the boards, not strong enough to play away from the pocket.

I seen the phantom on the approved ball list recentally. Maybe there was a remake?

I wouldn't be surprised if they made an updated remake, Jason Sterner was rolling a Phantom at the DHC Japan Invitational though it looked a bit greyish as opposed to the original Brunswick Phantom that was black. If I had to take a guess, the new Phantom would use the original Phantom core surrounded by the BTU coverstock or a variation of it.

There is an overseas version.

I forget the web address, but it is/was listed on Brunswicks overseas distributor named Sunbridge I believe.

Mine is more gray than black, especially with surface. It isn't Slate U-Dot gray, but not black like today's balls. Think more BTU less Danger Zone.

The Original Phantom mass bias pin marked the Z axis. All of today's current mass bias markings are Y-axis. So you need to either spin the ball, or trace the ball, making a triangle to find the Y-axis. I did this several years back with an Axe, and an Omega, and used standard asymmetrical layouts. They rolled amazing, but due to their low oil absorption, they struggled to hold the pocket.
