Radical or Rampage???
« on: September 12, 2006, 04:24:07 PM »
I have a RG Saturn, which is a very strong ball. I also have a Slay/R - which is a very tame ball. Right now there are between 6-9 boards different between the two balls - at the approach!

I need something that will fit in between them -

Radical? or Rampage?
that is the question.

Based solely on reputation, the Rampage.  I haven't heard of anybody disliking it yet.  It will be stronger than you slay/r, I don't know anything about the saturn.  I use mine for the late games on my 4 game scratch league.  Pic in profile, as well as pap, etc.

Why spend more on a Radical, when you aren't sure if you'll like, as many have not?  Buy the proven winner.

Rampage. I have to say the radical has yet to impress me, and i have always been satisfied with the reaction that i get from the rampage.

I'd say it depends on drilling and surface (if changed, that is).

In stock form the Rampage handles as much oil as the Saturn, but the ball path is radically different.

Maybe y'all forget that PK 18, pearl or solid, is a VERY Strong reacting ball, handling TRUE medium oil patterns, exactly as does the Saturn, even with its 800 grit surface.

The Rampage may handle less oil than the Saturn, but that is solely by means of its pearlized and polished cover. But the Rampage will also handle the same amount of oil as the Saturn.

If you put the Saturn cover in the Rampage's core, YES, then, it will handle more oil, BUT the Saturn is not in the Rampage's core.

yes. i've never seen a Rampage turn like a mother, unless Nick is throwing it. everything i've seen around here is very smooth.

When your signature block is 10x longer than your comment, maybe you should re-consider ...

Could they be using the Rampage on far too much oil or far too little?
Both would result in that ball reaction. It is not a "mild mannered" ball unless you place forcibly into that position.

Or you can get the new RG Venus.  Same block as your Saturn, polished reactive with 1% particle.  Very nice.

all 3 rampages i have seen, and the one i threw fliped. the farthest thing from smooth i would say. basically put the intense to shame. all with pin over ring cg either stacked or out a little. goes long and then sideways...
