The Blue Ringer is a very nice ball! On medium heavy oil for me it creates a beautiful midlane and a smooth continuous backend, that is rounded.
I have a purple/Pin Karma which is longer and sharper.
I know this, both of the Brunswick balls above have flare potential diffs of near .040.
A HyRoad has a diff right near .047 or .048. I have also thrown a HyRoad Solid.
To my mind it is a lot like a Blue Ringer in push but stronger in carrydown and backend than the Blue Ringer.
If Stronger was really your goal (ie your wife is pushing the ball too far down the lane without enough backend I would not go down in flare potential to the Ringer.
Great ball the Blue Ringer, when it is right(ie strong enough in the back I almost don't leave 7 pins as it is so rounded and flush). When it is wrong, forced too deep inside, and then squishy soft backends all I do is leave 7 pins!) Lefty!
