Currently have a spare ball and an LT48. These balls have got me by at a house with notoriously dry lanes. However, I want to start bowling tournaments and know I will need to add equipment for different lane conditions. I have been told I am a rev dominant bowler.
From what I have read, I need:
1) a ball with a low RG and aggressive cover for heavy oil
2) medium RG ball with medium differential for medium oil
3a) high RG ball with low differential
OR
3b) high RG with high differential and a peal or hard cover
I am assuming the LT48 fits the 3b definition. Is that correct? Should I also look at adding something like a Strike King to meet category 3a as well?
I am looking at the Melee Hook for my medium oil ball. I am worried about adding anything stronger as a rev dominant player.
Expense is not an issue, I am looking for ideas on rounding out an arsenal.
Thanks in advance.

Lower RG ball with stronger cover for heavier oil: Nirvana
medium oil: Brute Strength or Melee Hook
Lighter oil: Soul or your LT-48
Break down / clean through front with stronger backend motion: Mastermind Brainiac

Depending on your roll and ball speed, the Melee Hook may be all the traction that you need in oil. My Melee Hook is sufficient traction on anything that I see locally.
I use the Diva XOXO once my Hook has trouble holding line through the midlane. It is not nearly as sharp as it has been advertised to be and has given me success on a pretty wide range of patterns.

Heavier Oil: Nirvana
Medium: Melee Hook
Light Oil: LT-48
Breakdown: Diva XOXO, its a little cleaner with less backend pop for me than the Mastermind Brainiac

I agree with Brandon that the Melee Hook may be as strong as you really need for heavier patterns depending on your stats. I'd say get the Hook play a tourney or two and see if your missing something and go from there.
