Rough Buff polish
« on: April 14, 2006, 02:45:15 AM »
Is there anything in the Track or Ebonite line of polishes that is even remotely close to the Brunswick Rough Buff polish? Reason being is that my Absolute Inferno isn't working so hot with Ebonite Factory Finish on it and I wanted something stronger without going to a straight matte finish and the local shop here doesn't have the Rough Buff available.

1000-1500-grit.  RB is a compound polish.  Clean-and-Sheen from track is also a compound polish, so it should be close.  I'm sure Ebonite has something as well, I just don't know offhand.  You could also try 3M rubbing compound, I believe some companies use that for their compound finishes.

Tried the Track Clean and Sheen tonight after hitting it with 320 Abralon (man do those things cut!) Turned out quite well and looks quite close to the NIB Vapor Zone my friend has. Haven't had a chance to throw it yet, but hopefully it won't be the 10 pin monster it was beforehand.
