Title: How are the Nexus balls holding up
Post by: kong1 on November 09, 2011, 05:24:51 PM
I am thinking of getting a Nexus solid and was wondering if they are losing reaction after a number of games on them. I have problems with a few heavier oil balls that seem to lose reaction very quickly because they soak up so much oil. From the reviews it seems like this ball would roll good for me because I don't have a ton of revs. Has anyone thrown 30 or so games on thiers and if so how has the reaction changed? I've had some good luck with Brunswick before so I wouldn't mind trying yhese.

Just an idea, but the literature claims a less porous surface. Using plain logic, this would decrease the chance of oil soaking into the ball. Keep up the maintenance though just the same.

Pay attention to the surface. Big hooking balls that are a little dull at box finish shine up quickly after a few games. Keep the ball clean, and when it loses a little reaction just get it back to box finish and you will be fine. Most people don't realize how quickly it can happen until they put a new ball next to their drilled one and realize the box finish is gone.
