No matter how I try...
« on: April 07, 2010, 01:50:09 AM »
To replace my old Red Zone with newer equipment this ball is always a must take in my bag wherever I bowl...

I traded for this ball over a year ago and though I really take of my stuff, this ball must have over 100 games easily by me alone(most of my stuff I sell or trade well before 50 games). I cracked the bridge on it a few months back, repaired it and it still is going strong. Maybe it is just the perfect matchup,to my game/speed, but for me, this ball continues to perform and hit like the latest and greatest.

Not married to one company as I have owned and thrown good stuff from everyone, but this classic definitely deserves a shout out from me for extreme versatility thru a gamut of conditions, tuneability of cover, great changes in motion thru release changes, etc. Out of the 70+ balls I have owned, for me, I would place it in the top 5.

I have to agree. I loved this ball and look for one all the time to get a new one.

I take mine everywhere and a few years a go I picked up another NIB. I will drill it when this one dies if it ever does. They are on EBay quite often for a good price usually. Brunsnick posted that the he see's similarity's with the siege and the red zone.

I had the RedZone and I currently have the siege, and although there may be similarities, for me, they're nothing alike overall. The similarities I see are in basic shape. Good midlane with a nice hard arcing backend. That for me, is where the similarities end. The RZ for me takes surface changes much better, is a lot more receptive to hand position changes, and is a lot more forgiving. I also had a lot better luck with carry with the RZ. I don't dislike the Siege, but it's definitely not the ball the RZ was. Good luck finding something to replace it! lol.

Funny topic because today I was just comparing the Red Zone, Siege and 3.5. All three definitely have a different motion to the pocket.

Sadly, the only ball that will replace the red zone is another red zone!

I might be able to get a NIB 15lb Red Zone and would sell it for $135 plus shipping. I will eat the PayPal fee. Any takers?

Did not see that BB.com had them at such a good price. I was getting one from a different source. Guess that was not so good.
