Looking for some suggestions. I was thinking of maybe 4 x 3.5 or something close to that. I want a very strong reaction as I can always apply some Rough Buff Polish or Factory Finish Polish to tame it down a bit.
--------------------
My 06-07 Arsenal:- Action (box finish, stacked lev) = Heavy Oil
- Vendetta Maxx (box finish, label lev) = Heavy/Medium to Medium
- Cobalt Bomb Solid (box finish, 4 x 3.5) = Medium/Heavy to Medium
- Agent (box finish, stacked lev) = Medium
- DOOM (box finish, label lev) = Medium to Medium/Light
- Power Groove Dry/R (box finish, 5 x 4.5) = Light/Medium to Light
- Red XXXL (box finish, label lev) = Dry
-
i'd go at least 4 3/4" from PAP away.
looks like a hella strong ball.

Yeah and I do not know my exact rev rate either.

Maybe drilling 2L on the Fury drill sheet?

Depending on your rev rate, I would not go much lower than 4 1/2-4 3/4" from your PAP. You leave yourself the opportunity to adjust with a weight hole to adjust the reaction as well as the surface. Leave yourself the optimum amount of options to fine tune.

I agree with Rich.
Plus, New lane conditions dont really call for a ton of hook.
So go longer on the drilling.
And maybe put the Pin under the fingers w/ the long drill.
Im gunna drill mine 5 X 4 and tune the surface accordingly.

I'm thinking 4.5 x 4...the only question is if I should put the X-hole (if it requires one) on my PAP or below it on the VAL?

Try laying it out with out the extra hole to leave yourself an option, 3/4 of an oz. of positive side. Placing a weight hole in the PAP or within 1/2" does nothing as far as reaction. You should alter after throwing to adjust reaction in case needed. Leave options.
Makes sense. I will go 4.5" Pin to PAP. I wonder how far I can get away with kicking the CG before it will require an extra hole? Maybe .5"?

If U don't know the Top or Pin distance, how can U then already be certain that the layout U want will be a 4 x 3.5?
Definetely depending on the Pin distance, a ball with a 2.5 inch Pin vs a 4 inch Pin will produce 2 very different layouts/reaction set-ups.. Correct me if i'm wrong, i'm still learning..
On edit..:
I prefer the degree system.. Seems a lot more accurate than the ?x? system..
Thanks

The pin distance I do know, but you are correct regarding the top because that is anybody's guess. Top weight is not that important and only comes into play when kicking the CG out because a high top weight usually means a larger X-hole will be needed to bring the side weight to under 1oz.
