.008 is minimal. It's like an Ebonite SR300 (.003) almost nothing.

According to Mo Pinel, El Guru Asymmetrico, .008" is on the cusp of importance. It was the rating for his Labyrinth. So, anything less than .008 can be ignored and treated as a symmetric core.

.008 can be skyrocketed up to around .014-016 range with a high topweight and strong x hole placement in the mass bias on the gradient line.
