I have had an original Inferno for almost a year. Although I have liked the ball a lot, I have always found it a little too condition specific to have earned a space in the main bag.
Some of you may remember that along about December of last year, I changed my entire game, and considerably changed (improved) my ball roll. Since then, we've re-laid out all my equipment, with the help of BrunsRicH.
I had not thrown the Inferno more than a couple of shots since we redid it. I took it along today, figuring the house I was bowling in tended to the dry, so my "medium oil hockey stick shape" ball would do well.
Was I ever wrong!!!
Wow - it's awesome. Strong, strong backend, but now with a really strong midlane roll as well. I'm soooooo impressed!!!
Wow! Did I forget to say Wow???

All right, don't keep us all in suspense...
How is the Inferno laid out now?

At the moment I use my Zone Classic mainly.
My OI is in desperate need of resurface. After 200+ games it's lost a lot of its explosive reaction. I'm sure it'll be fine once I have it resurfaced though.
I may even buy another one if I have some money!

The ball is laid out with the pin approx. 5" from PAP and with the pin IN the ring finger.
I used it tonight, too - awesome. And very sensitive to release changes - and yes - that's a good thing.
