I hate my TIME ZONE
« on: March 20, 2004, 12:23:38 AM »
But I have to keep using it!!!  It just scores so well for me!

REcently I was in a tourney.  Used my Fuze Ignitor.  Was close to leading.
All of sudden kept packing the pocket with the Ignitor but travelled very decisively into 7 pin Country.  Up, back sideways, all sorts of shenigans for 6 frames as I ripped 9 out of the rack.

Finally defeat and a switch to the duller and dull, ho hum reacting Time Zone.
Drilled cg out with a weighthole on PAP. ThuwumpXsss, ThuwumpxSSSS, ThuwumpXss, ThuwmpXssss, and down the road.  5 frames earlier there handing me the cash!

Good golly I can't find anything exciting about this ball.  Even with no real exciting move anywhere, weaker than the Ignitor(but earlier), weaker than my long gone scream/r, weaker even than my supposedly wimpy Walter Ray.  Way weaker than it's similarly skinned Demolition Zone.  Now that it's got a track it just strikes!!!  Yuch!

REgards,

PS Saw one drilled with the mass bias on the Thumb for a typically no backend up the backer.  This guy had so much snap, and mine lacks all semblence of it with the MB on the VAL.  Usually our roles are reversed he and me!  Just shows what a STRONG mass bias on a ball can do!  My friend grew a hand, I lost one!
PPS, This ball is BORING!  Unless you like high scores!

I thought this ball was suposed to be weak. I saw a guy throwing one at spares dead straight.

AM not A CHICK OF BOWLING but I wanted to be in Manda's clique And why would I "saw" pins in half, THATS A WASTE OF PINS! I'd rather blow it over with my storm, and 21mph ball speed on dry shots.

Definately not a weak ball Mine is very clean through the heads and gets into a nice roll in the mdlane with a solid arc right into the pocket.

BK, just cause one guy was doing that doesn't really represent the ball.....there's way too many factors involved to get a real synopsis, unless you buy one yourself...

Just like the big blue pearl thing.  You could get the ball, but it's not like you will get the same results.  Expecially true in the case of jason and his fear factor.

My time zone doesn't do anything.  It's drilled basically label leverage with the CG out of grip center just a bit.  2-3" pin and 3oz of top to start.

At factory finish, I couldn't find a condition dry enough for the ball to move on.  It has about the least backend of any ball I have ever seen.  At 600 matte it rolls great up 7 on a house shot with screaming backends.  (play 17 at the arrows out to 5 with an eraser particle pearl).

It starts to hook at my feet as soon as the heads go away and has no push through the lane.  A black buzzsaw/c with the same drilling and cover prep glides through the heads much better for me.

I think I may just have a bad cover.  It rolls more like a urethane ball than any I have seen.  Shined it does nothing, dull it rolls at your feat without head oil.

And like any other PK18 ball I have had, I have to put it on a spinner every 10 or so games to remove the track and get it back to the surface I like.  It is the only cover I have found that I track up

So I use mine mostly for spares and for the occasional up 7 slow roller shot when I get tired of swinging the ball.
