I won't buy mexican made equipment. Not for any political reasons or anything like that..just that since Brunswick moved I don't match up at all....so if they were the originals I would get one....if they're remakes..I won't.
Simple enough?

C.B.A... THE New World Order
Sometimes the balls will either be stronger or weaker it all depends on the way the coverstock is made. I have heard of remakes being stronger because of stronger additives in the coverstock. I have also heard of remakes being weaker because there was a slight change in the coverstock. Since the Ultimate was out not that long ago I would think that it should be close.

Just ordered one. All the concerns above seem valid, but I figure, hey, if it's close enough, then that's good enough for me. Especially at $125 NIB.
I have an original UI still in service, and although Activator covers seem to last forever, It may eventually die. They need to do the Absolute like this though. I also have one of those still in service. EASILY going on 500+ games, and I'm loving it.
Love these 2 balls together.

The story is when Brunswick moved to this location, they were having a problem with CORRECT "PIN" location issue and had a lot of rejects. So when you drill these be sure that the holes should not pierce the PIN (yellow) area. These balls were like 10% defective and mostly with the shorter PINS , O"-1" .

Remaking the Smokin would be great as well. I can't seem to put mine down right now. I just may have to pick another one up before they disappear.

Even if you buy 2 NIB balls, the different static weights etc. will not make one ball like the other, so IMHO it will be hard to tell a difference between an original and a remake ball.
