I bowl on medium heavy oil on synthetics, 39 ft house shot. Usually solid reactive equipment is my best bet at this house, but I wanted something that could still handle the oil I see and yet be good when the lanes transition. I need the maximum recovery I can get from this ball without being too lengthy.
Therefore I have decided that I want to do the 2E layout on my Total Inferno, which dictates a 4 1/2" pin-to-PAP with pin under ring finger. The layout sheet specifies a 0-2" pin-out for most bowlers. I think this will give me what I am looking for in my situation: the most possible area coverage while still getting an early read.
Specs on my ball:
15lb 2oz
3" pin (remember, my layout specified 0-2")
2.6 TW
Now the question: If I put the pin under the RF, at 4 1/2 pin to PAP, because of the 3" pin out, will I get the intended reaction?
Will the intended reaction be affected because of having thumb weight with the pin under RF? Will it start up TOO early and have nothing left for the backend, or is this no big deal? Should I consider something else?
My driller definitely knows the hows and whys, but is a doer, not a teacher, so he isn't very good at explaining them. My stats are in my profile. Any help would be appreciated.
