Absolute Inferno....what are your thoughts on this ball now?
« on: January 31, 2007, 01:40:14 AM »
I got a decent trade offer for one of these, so I want to hear what you guys think of the Absolute today.  What kind of conditions do you use it on?  What are it's strengths and weaknesses?  How would it work for a medium speed, lower rev player who likes to play down and in?  My only Brunswick experience thus far was a pretty bad one, I got a Smokin' Inferno and could not get the ball to work for the life of me.  Sell me on the Absolute!    Right now I throw mostly Hammer, with a Doom and Pain in the bag which are great.  Where would it fit in relation to those on a ProAnvilane surface with a medium heavy oil crown patter?  How is it on flatter tournament conditions?

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bill Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...

great ball, go for it. The smokin was not a good ball for many, don't read too much into that experience.  If you don't like the absolute I would take it off your hands.

I have thrown and had success with my AI on all 5 PBA regional patterns, great benchmark ball, predictable roll and great control.  Will not let you down....ever

Well, I love the absolute but, I think the smokin is a turd. Just my 2 cents.

i dont have one ,(just stupid i guess),but i have seen many people use them. Men, women ,low ball speed ,high speed ,low rev and high. I have seen it played up the boards and seen people swing it . Imho this has got to be one of the most versatile and hardest hitting as well as most dependable balls i have seen. If i ever see one on ebay for a decent price i will grab it. My best friend uses one and he only carries 2 balls, the absolute and his big one. And the absolute sees the majority of lane time. Dont take my word the next time u go bowling look around the lanes.
