Should I buy some re-makes?
« on: September 03, 2007, 10:24:54 PM »
Seeing that Brunswick is remaking a bunch of their most successful balls from their past, should I invest in them. I had a chance to throw my friend's Purple Rhino Pro, and the reaction was great. Was thinking about getting that ball and the Black Danger Zone. Are these two a good combo? Just looking for more predictable ball rolls. Hoping to get the best group of balls for my tournament arsenal.

I've had Brunswick balls come with different specs a couple of times. It happens when pro shops have balls on display and put them in the wrong boxes when sending them back for whatever reason. I say this because the 3-letter code on the front of the box didn't match the ball.

Ball could have been put in the wrong box along the way, either from the factory, distributor or other means. (like I said in my last post)

Nick, my ball weighed 14.3 on the nose, the Pin was 2 3/4 from C.G. well within the 2-3 Pin range, the Top weight in the ball was 4.5, a Full ounce heavier than what was printed on the box and the Box & Ball were stamped Made in Mexico.

The top weight is fine, sheesh!
How many times do we need to say it?

Hey Dynojoe, 1 word of caution, before you Buy 1 of these remakes, remember, they are being made in Mexico!
What the heck does that have to do with anything? I suppose that if someone speaks Spanish they are ignorant and have no clue how a bowling ball is used ? Geez, I called bowlingball.com last year and an American didn't know how to spell Hammer. Stay away from Brunswick if you want. Your choice.

Think he explained it pretty good maybe you should read his complete statement before getting your panties all bunched up. Man it's funny how fast some of you guys from the Big B forum jump on people for stating what they think.

Wow...Truth I didn't jump on anyone. No caps or exclamation points. Just some questions and a statement. Are you Drrev2000's spokesperson? It is no secret that you dislike Brunswick. Although, you seem to enjoy hanging out in the Brunswick forum. Be careful. These Mexican made balls will surprise you. You are missing out and too stubborn to give in. LOL- Your loss.

Sorry Rev I had taken it the wrong way then. Sorry though on the Mexican made balls, there are way to many good ones being made in the U.S.A. Maybe you should try some you don't know what you are missing.
