As to which ball matches up better for me, the answer is yes.
The original Inferno works best for me on opened-up conditions or when I know I've got some dry to work with to the right. If I have to square up and play a tighter shot with it, I don't always get the corners out consistently.
OTOH, the Intense seems to like to be played more through the oil. If I try to go left-to-right with it, the midlane reaction becomes just a bit touchy. However, it's money on conditions when I can go more direct to the pocket.
The two really do complement each other very well.
