Title: Intense Inferno

Hey all,

I'm getting a NIB Intense in the mail hopefully tuesday. I want to use it for when my Absolute and Ultimate are moving too much downlane.
My Absolute is drilled label, so I was thinking of drilling the Intense the same way, that way the only variables are the later rolling core, and the shinier surface.

Is that sound thinking? It seems like it should work, but I'm not very adept at talking layouts.

Mine goes way down and has a very strong, angular backend. It reads the lane great and snaps off the dry just when I think its gonna scoot past and wash out.
Drilling it label might be ok, if your looking for something to get into a roll a little earlier, something with the pin under might be useful.

I definitely want it to go farther downlane than all my other stuff.
(AI, UI, Ambush, One)
If it wants to be angular when it gets there, thats fine with me. All of the stuff I have is pretty early and good for mediums and above, so I am looking for something that will go a bit farther when it's drier. I think this should work for most of those instances. I mean, obviously not a true dry lane ball due to the Activator + cover, but going to handle medium-dry I hope.

Also, even if it dosen't work out for me reaction wise, it's a sexy ball, and I must have it, so that's why I bought it.

You have the right ball if you want it to get long and get stupid on the back.  I had one drilled negative b/c I wanted it to do what you said, that was... ummm dumb, don't do it.  that ball went about 50ft with out any read and DEAD left, I can't even describe it, litterally looked like it went 90* sideways. My teammate had one drilled leverage and though it was long and strong it was much more predictable than mine.. I ended up selling to a lefty haha.

I always thought the coolest thing about this ball was that you could see it going downlane from anywhere in the center, and when you saw it, you knew the dude was throwing an Intense.

if u want the Intense Inferno for medium-dry lanes, you wont want a big backend, unless you play with a lot of speed. If you have a slower speed, you'll want to have a strict length drilling with an arcing backend, that should work well on medium-dry lanes. I have a Twisted Fury, and got a Vibe for when the lanes are drier, the Vibe can cover almost as many boards as the Twisted with its backend reaction.

My Intense came in today, and I love it so far! Only rolled 5 games, but averaged 200 for them, and I'm at about 180ish right now. So it felt good.

The ball clears the heads real nice, and man does it hit!  It really stores energy for impact. I couldn't be happier right now! Thanks for all the input guys!
