Removing wax
« on: November 13, 2004, 09:52:35 PM »
I bought a SmashR but it was rolling to early so I took and put it in one of the ball machines, now I would like to take the wax off and put some polish on it what is the best way to do this without affecting the NIB cover. Thanks for any help

Would green/maroon 3m pad do the job also.

Basically, the "wax" you speak of from the machine is a polish. You say you want to take that off and polish it. If you want it back to like new use a green pad on it. The one thing to remember about hand poishing is that there are different grits of polish out there. It all depends on what you're looking for. If the NIB was too early for you, try taking the surface to 2000 and try that. If still too early, put a 1500-2000 polish on top of that surface.
