Intense vs Smoking
« on: September 21, 2005, 03:09:17 AM »
Hi, just want to know what is the difference between these two balls with same drill, used on the same kind of condition. If you already own a intense, is it worthwhile to get a smoking ? My friend is still undecided, please help....thanks

Your friend shouldn´t get both. They are overlapping eachother. I think the smoking is more flippy on the backend.

WHile I agree that the balls do overlap, the interetsing thing is that they get their lengths from different factors: the Smoking, (mostly) from the coverstock and the Intense (mostly) from the high RG core. Note that I added the word "mostly" in there.

So is it true to say, if my friend has a Intense then it's not necessary to get the smoking and if he want to replace the Intense than Smoking is a good choice.

Exactly. The Intense will do the justice but I would recommend the Smoking for the main reason the last guy stated is that it has a larger area for releases. Its more compatiable to most players than the Intense.
