Interested in the Twisted Fury....
« on: December 04, 2007, 12:57:47 PM »
I have low-med speed 15mph, rev dominant.  I've had success with label leverage type drillings, that allow skid and moderate backend, for which my revs makeup for.  I was thinking of a 1:30 drill on the TF, which is about 4 1/2" pin from pap, mb about 5 to 5 1/2" from pap, pin above and right of ring finger, left in box finish.  I throw on a THS, pretty much stand left and throw out.  I'm hoping this ball is a go to benchmark ball, that doesn't overreact, yet will create area so it will either hold when tugged or come back when thrown out.  What about having the mb on the trackside, maybe just left of my thumb, about 6" from pap, cg in palm, and pin just right of ring finger.  Any insights or experiences?

Put your favorite layout on it and adjust the surface if necessary.

To quote BTM, "The Twisted Fury rolled great, no matter what finish we put on it."

I can personally attest to this fact as I've tried three different surfaces on this ball in about 2 weeks. All of them were quite good.

How is the length on the ball?  I'm looking for a nice strong arc, yet good length.  My slow speed means pin up

Length as compared to what?

The cover on the Twisted is versatile, so you can alter to taste to get the length you require.

The Shock & Awe uses the Absolute cover if I'm not mistaken. With this being true than the Twisted should be a bit longer than the Twisted.

Thanks for the info.  I think I'll do a label drilling on the TF, with the pin right next to ring, maybe a little above.  I'm thinking it'll help give length w/my slower speed, and give just a little flip to my already rev dominant style.

Is it true many of the TF have the wrong core?  My pro shop advised the distributor had to send back all of his stock because the TF had issues

Of course they do, there are patents involved so have Lane#1 go that direction if they think they have a case

Not because HE saw the post, but because I saw the PM you sent me and called him.
There's only one Dopey, Ric. We do have Hump and whatever they call me...
