Intrigue very underratted ball
« on: November 04, 2015, 10:42:06 AM »
I love all of the new items that are rolling out of Big B's factory. At times between releases I like to go back to try a ball I missed out on that is on sale and kick the tires on it. I had a chance to punch up this baby and the Exile. I had a private session with Mo Pinel at our bowling center and he handed out an layout for me to try. When Mo speaks you listen and move quickly on his insight. I used that layout on this baby. Took it to league as well as test it on some sport shots are our local house. I was very surprised with the results. The Intrigue was a very smooth rolling piece for it to be an asym. I loved how well it pushed down lane and how it didn't overact once it read the friction. I could play many angles within my skill set and was pleased with the finish. I felt that the ball would read too early or would have me play extreme angles when on a THS. I also felt it didn't have the muscle for a longer sports pattern for it to be useful. It was a nice 1st ball out of bag ball for me that allowed me to move in and out of my bag  but allowed me to stay with it longer because of how versatile it was.  The cover with core combo was great. If you see one pick it up and it fits nicely after the Mastermind line and stronger than the middle level pieces prior to the Ringer line. Great investment and it has paid for itself in the short time I have had it.

-Get down lane very well
-Great recovery
-Don't overreact to friction as much as other Asyms. do
-Fits under mastermind line and before Ringer line. I would put this in front of the Brute line and Melee line.

Sweet. I bet they're great, the marketing is just off on that line... It never had a chance.  Everyone I know loved their exile
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

The Intrigue and Exile were excellent balls.  The Exile probably the first Big B ball that actually had length and recovery.  I loved that cover on the Gold Rhino Pro.
