I say it's a better dry lane ball than the PowerGroove Dry/R because it has a weaker core...

As for the Lane#1 lackey above... he asked this question in the Brunswick forum, not the Lane#1 forum...  buzz off!

I bowl every Thursday night at my center from 9:30 to 12:00 because it's only $12. Only bad thing is the lanes are pretty dry since it's after league play. I have a supernova and a x factor right now. Picked them up cheap. I just recently started really bowling pretty regulary. Well my bowling balls burn up pretty bad on the lanes and so it gets pretty frustrating. I was looking at the avalanche pearl because its a great price and I was wanting to try out some Brunswick equipment. I didn't want a plastic ball because I still want some power and carry.

Thanks KMAN300. Don't know if I can wait 6 days for the auction. Sometimes when I put my mind on something I just go out and get it. I guess I'm still a kid at heart.

i was referring the the avalanche pearl (its says so in my post).  Andrae, my pearl is for exactly what you are talking about.  It also doesn't force me to move  super deep.  The way you drill it is key though.  I have a 3 inch pin with pin above the bridge and cg under the ring.  very even rolling and my goto ball in any situation.
