I think I now know what is meant by the C system or Chemical not mechanical friction....
Darn(polite version)X Strong! I picked up one of these hated it. Too strong. Added Brunswick Factory Polish on top of the 500 rough buff pearl cover and all of a sudden I love it! On our shorter 35 foot wet/dry shot. The combo of the chemical friction cover and the mass bias make this ball an absolute 10 pin crusher!
It looks like it might not have been a pro tour star but league bowlers seem to know all about it as the price seems to be going up on Ebay.
I know because I got a 2nd new one for a different drilling or back up! I also had one sent to my Son! I didn't post this until I got mine also!
We want some reaction and we have it with this monster!

PS I have an undrilled Alpha Max I am getting ready to polish to a high gloss and drill the same for this same condition....think it will be fairly similar but smoother? I mean while a sharp rounded move at the break leads to an aggressive and crushing crack at all 10 pins! Brunswick experts?

I didnt like my first ultimax and sold it. Drilled a second one about 30 days ago and wow!!! It is drilled 70x6.25"x35 and is a beast. Wish I had tried this layout with the first ball last year. Also just drilled an alphamax and at box finish is too early for the amount of oil I see. With the new Maxxxedout decided to polish the ball a lot and that hit the spot. It is roughly 60x4.75"x50 and is everybit as angular as the ultimax just a little earlier on the lane. Ordering another ultimax on monday for a rainey day.

I know these balls were pretty much being given away by distributors a couple months ago. It's a great ball that many people passed on for whatever reason.

Lefty, expect it to be smoother and stronger overall. This will start 3-5 feet sooner. The two wil compliment each other nicely.

I'm thinking of a wider drilling angle than my current 45 on my first Ulti for my new one!!
What explosive action off the spot and at the pins. Once I found the right friction spot in my house shot(like cheetah) I am very excited about the possiblities.
Look long, look left, try to free up the arm and FLING!

PS after playing (FTL) flood the lefties for quite a while in tournaments and leagues on the left this is a fun new learning experience!
