Is the Zone Classic this rare and this desireable?
« on: January 25, 2009, 07:55:53 AM »
Just saw this Ebay ad,
http://cgi.ebay.com/15lb-Brunswick-Zone-Classic-NIB-Very-RARE_W0QQitemZ250361249935QQihZ015QQcategoryZ36105QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
for a 15 lb Zone Classic. The Buy It Now price is $265 plus shipping.
Oh, yeah, it has a 5" pin.

I had no idea they were this rare and this desireable.
Are they really??

The green pin was one of my favorites of all time as well.  Wouldn't pay that for it though.

If the Red Pins are more desirable maybe I should post my NIB Red Pin on e-bay for $300....lol.

Red pins were bad pour blems...

I was offered 100's of them for $40 ea when they were released. If I'm not mistaken.. The green pins were drilled out and plugged red.

While this is one of my favorite balls of all time, all three that I drilled got abused and resurfaced multi times.  This one super great ball.  That being said, with the economy being tough, I can't see paying this much for this ball.  Don't think it is THAT rare just yet.

Red pins were not really desirable at all.  Even after drilling 2, that ball plinked.  Over/under, just wasn't really very good.

Weren't the red pins Elite balls?  just kidding

LOL @ seller.  He probably had to pay like $1-2 in fees everytime he tries to sell that old POS.

Is that a color blem too?

I mean that ball would sell for $100, but not what he is asking for.

Maybe after a few re-lists he'll get the idea and either sell it locally or drop the price.
