Clean 'N Dull & Ultimate Inferno Issue

I have a box finish Ultimate Inferno that I just tried cleaning with Clean 'N Dull. However, after applying the product and removing per the instructions on the back of the bottle, there is a chalky white residue left on the ball that is very hard to remove. I had to ScotchBrite the cover to remove the white film. This is the only ball I have that does this. This is actually the second time this has happened. The last time I thought it was something other than the ball. Now I'm beginning to wonder. Has anyone else seen this with their Ult. Inferno?

someone posted something like this awhile back. They had a problem and it turned out to be the gloves that they used. Are u using gloves when u use the clean and dull?

Probably a chemical reaction with something else you have or put on the ball previously, like left-over cleaner or polish.

Bowling: Just like hand grenades and horse shoes, you only have to get close.
Life: Deal with what is.
