Is there much difference?
« on: November 06, 2007, 02:30:37 AM »
Is there really much difference between the Smokin and the Radical Infernos?  From what I've read, they appear to be very similar with the Radical maybe having a little more length.  If someone has used both, I would appreciate your input.

Thanks for the help.......

I've thrown both.  I used them both on similar conditions, or when I wanted to play closer to the dry boards.  I liked the Smokin' better because it was more predictable.  The Radical was more "radical" for me.

There are going to be plenty of bowlers who like one or the other based on their individual game and what type of condition they bowled on.  For playing the "friction area" of the lane, I can't think of a ball that has been better for me than the Smokin'.

ya i have thrown both and feel that the smokin is just smoother than the radical and a tad longer. for me the radical worked better for my game since i rev it up a lil so i needed the length but on tougher sport like conditions the smokin worked nicely cuz there wasent a big jump off the dry.

Smokin was a great dry lane ball that I could get deep with and still carry despite my lower rev rate.  I never liked the Radical at all, and didn't really give it a lot of chance.  I see a lot of them around, and none has really looked good to me.  Way to over under for my taste.

Are the "way to over under" Radicals still OOB?

For me, I never liked the Smokin. It read the lane to early for me. I only drilled one and it was pin below my fingers.

I had two Radicals, one pin high shiny which was great, and one pin low. The low pin was iffy until I roughed up the cover. Then I had two Rads that I loved on two different shots. And both won me tournaments.
