China is probably the worlds # 1 exporter of products. Mexico's exports are mostly garbage. I think Nike, Rebok etc...come from China and they are good products.
Do I need to get out that checklist?

300bowlNY:
1. Back away from the keyboard.

PS Glad you got to keep your job, although it is unfortunate that many Americans have no choice when a company moves out of the country.
Maybe if those americans were educated they wouldnt need to worry about keeping their jobs.
Anyone can hire muscle, its brains that make you valuable not braun.
Its the nature of the beast, no matter what company or country you're in, open your eyes.

OK So maybe Darwin has an idea and way to keep America solvent and strong.
Face it America is in trouble and granted brunswick moving to Mexico is just an example but if we as Americans don't make a stand this country is not going to be a nice place to live in the future for us let alone for our children and grandchildren.
Adapt or die, its a simple concept thats spanned across most aspects of life for eons. Domestic policy is there to help balance the economy. If you were a smart man, you'd be buying stock now, instead of festering over this small bump in the economy. The housing fears will subside with some cuts in the interest rate.
I know it was posted a while back, but Brunswick tried to accomodate those employees that were let go. Brunswick offered training in any field in which they chose to pursue after Brunswick, and most were offered positions at the Reynoso plant if they chose to move, which I assume none/few did.
Sure, im sure they were scorned and took the cold hard axe when Brunswick was trying to be more than accommodating by offering a severance package that included investing in their future or offering a position at an alternate location/line of business.
Brunswick isnt a cold company when it comes to its employees or the United States. They made a business decision, so Brunswick Bowling can adapt and survive in this ever changing world.
