823 with Fury
« on: September 27, 2007, 05:18:27 AM »
2nd 8 with the Fury, games of 290-279-254. No strikes in the first frame of all three games and didn't strike in the 2nd frames of the last two games.  Back 11 first game, back 10 second, and a 10 pin spare in the 9th of the last game, with 7 on my fill ball.  If this isn't the perfect ball, I don't know what is.  Very smooth off the dry, but still hooks just the right amount.  Everybody else's track started messing with them, but it was just a simple ball speed adjustment for me, didn't have to move my feet all night.  Haha, the credit goes to Pat Mitchell though!  When he was out here with Brunswick for their pro staff training camp (which went really well and was unbelievably awesome, btw), he adjusted our house shot, and since then, it's not so much that it's easier, but just a lot more consistent, especially at the breakpoint.  And also . . Billy O is the man!  Can't wait for more videos!

Way to go HamPster.

Have you adjusted the surface on yours (from the very aggressive factory surface) or are you able to see enough oil?  Just curious, because I really like both of my Furys as well as the Fury Pearl.

Haven't adjusted the surface.  The cover is tamer now from use, so I'm getting more length and a smoother, but more controllable backend out of it.  I also have a Fury Pearl and like it quite a bit too, but the Fury is more forgiving, less responsive to track burn and carrydown, and the adjustments are simpler with it.  The Pearl is good, but I don't ever see anything the Fury can't handle right off the bat, and all night.  I'm sure I'll be using it at Nationals next year.  Don't really see enough oil for either ball, but neither of them seem to burn energy, they just hook early or late depending on the amount of oil.

It's pretty aggressive, drilled it for Reno this year.  Lol, ended up using my Red Zone, but it's 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 with a flare reducing weighthole.  And, thefunnierman, I'm not showing off at all, I'm just using this as a chance to plug Brunswick.  Haven't posted scores in a while, I take it you must be new and don't know me . .  Don't need to show off, and besides, scores on a house shot aren't really worth talking about anyway.  Like I said, just showing some support and "success" with B.

He's only got 24 posts HamPster and doesn't know you've been around awhile.

Nothing wrong with posting some good scores in your fav. forum.  Nice rolling!

Congratulations Hampster on another great series.

I dont see anything wrong with sharing or bragging about scores on this site, it is a bowling site.  Maybe one of these days I will have a score worth mentioning.

Well there's plenty of other people who post scores here . . and if you notice, I didn't really say a whole lot about the scores.
