Just ordered a Wild Ride!
« on: January 31, 2009, 11:05:20 PM »
I'll be drilling this ball up this coming Thursday i'd say, and would like some advice.

I throw around 15-16mph. I don't know my exact rev rate, but it's gotta be close to 275-300. I feel as though my speed is too slow for my revs at times. Also, I do have my PAP, but that's my PAP for sarge easter grip, and i'm switching back to full finger-tip.

All I want for this ball to do is to react as it does in Brunswick's video. Obviously i'm not as good as the thrower, but i'd like a close reaction. That ball looks like money.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for the comment, touroffset!

Are people afraid to suggest a layout for this ball? I think I provided enough info. I'm just very afraid of drilling this ball.

I know personally what this ball does. I wasn't bowling well with what I was throwing during qualifying this past weekend - the shot was really tough, but once I got ahold of this ball the last 2 games it was amazing. Very versatile, I played straight up 7 with it and when it was gone I moved inside the 4th arrow and it didn't over-react and I made the cut for Sunday. I had all kinds of people stopping by asking about both balls(Rattler & Wild Ride) amateurs & pros. You can drill the Wild Ride to skid/flip or have an early roll. But the thing about it is that it will fit any persons release and can play on any condition.

Carol Norman and Donna Conners - each of whom are on Storm's Staff just loves these balls. You can make them hook or go straight. One Hammer staffer stopped by and said if he wasn't on staff with Hammer he would have bought one of each, the Wild Ride & Rattler.

FastTracker33,

I would tend to tell everyone except Sean Rash to drill it stronger than you normally do. The cover is very versatile, but if you go too far from your PAP you may not tap into the ball's potential.
