Did he get that new somewhere or was it one that he had??  I am pretty sure that he was not a staffer when the Original was out...but I am probably wrong on that...

Brunswick probably either a.) keeps or happened to have a special stock of them. b.) a distributor has some extra stock of them that either the on-line or pro-shop dealers never ordered or returned. or c.) can still make whatever balls they want whenever they want.  Just my opinion.

If you looked real close, I believe on one of the shots showing from behind the lanes when Mika was in his approach, you could see the serial # on the bottom of the ball with MADE IN USA below it...so it was a real old Original Inferno he had and not one of the recent remakes...pretty cool a PBA guy has hung onto such an "older" ball for a long time....

I think Mika still has several of the "older" balls. I have seen him throw an Ultimate and Blazing Inferno in the regionals several times the last two years.

He might have really liked the reaction of those when they originally came out and stockpiled himself a case or two of each for when they would be discontinued. I know I would have liked to have stockpiled a case of Classic Zones. Damn, that ball rolled good!

So far it seems like a good investment as he has probably made back what he spent and then some.
