Any suggestions on the best fit for an Ambush?
« on: May 09, 2007, 09:32:03 AM »
Lets see, I went out on a wing and ordered two of these.  I know one of them I am going to go with a 6" pin under layout with an x hole 2 1/2" down from PAP on VAL to give me a very low flaring option on severe wet/dry and shorter patterns.  The other....I'm not too sure of what to do with.  I have alot of bases covered for most PBA Patterns and THS situations but it's always fun to just have another option.  A part of me wants to try a high pin/flippier layout, and another part of me wants to go with my favorite layout which is a 5" pin under with no x-hole.

Here are some of what I have so far(Brunswick pours only) in order of strongest to weakest:

Awesome Revs("Super Symmetrical Layout")
Vapor Zone(4 1/2" pin high, 65deg MB)
Absolute(5" pin under, no hole)
Attitude 3(4 1/2" pin high)
Intense(5 1/2" pin high)
Attitude 1(5 1/2" pin high)

There is a big gap between the Attitude 3 and the Intense Inferno which I would put the 6" pin under layout Ambush in.  If need be, could the Ambush be a stronger symmetrical option to the Absolute when I need a rounder motion on longer patterns?
