Absolute Too Good?
« on: March 11, 2005, 12:27:29 AM »
I went to my scratch league a couple nights ago with my new absolute and a couple other drier lane balls (as the shot breaks down, it dries up incredibly quick in this house).  Usually once she shot starts to go, you move inside and it gets so touchy..over/under that's really tough to score.  So, normally changing to weaker equipment and playing in the dry is a good idea.  Well, started off with the absolute...  by the 5th frame of the first game, the track area was gone and I started my move... bumped in and no problems... smooth consistent reaction and extremely powerful at the pins...  From the 5th frame of the 1st game to the 5th frame of the 2nd game, I adjusted a total of 13 boards deeper.  The amazing thing is there was NO over/under reaction.  Everyone else on the pair (except the lefty) was fishing around trying to find a line...  even had one guy throwing plastic up the boards...  Not me... smooth and strong inside.  Nearly had my first triplicate of the year, 235, 235, 238.  Needed a 7 count on the last ball, but a messenger took out the 1,2,4 I had attempted to leave...  Oh well.

So this brings me to the point of my post.  It seems as if everyone loves this ball (including myself) and brunswick can't make enough of them.  I have a goliath on back order... and from the looks of it, it may be quite some time before Brunswick can slow down the production of Absolutes to make a batch of goliaths!  So....I think they are just too good.  Please everyone... quit buying absolutes so I can get my goliath (although with the way the absolute rolls, I never get a chance to throw the goliath anyway).

Great ball, great roll and reaction.... and amazing power at the pins.  I am honestly considering getting a couple more just to have later down the road.  I'm that impressed.
Thanks Big B

Who says MAC's never crash?  Word works for less than a minute... Safari isn't much better... and I think last time the Force Quit even crashed...
