Labelling?
« on: November 29, 2008, 11:14:52 AM »
I was getting a couple of balls adjusted and couple drilled in my pro shop this afternoon and I noticed a Twisted Fury DESTRUCTION label on a 16 lb. display ball. I was quite shocked by what it said: "TWISTED FURY DESTPUCTION". We looked at one 15 lb in the box and it said "DESTRUCTION". The next 16lb Destruction was kind of buried. So we didn't dig it out because there were about 10 people waiting for service.

Does anyone's 16lb TFD say "DESTPUCTION" on the label?

Since Brunswick usually runs thousands of one ball type and one weight off at a time, I wonder how many have been mislabelled?

This was actually on the side of the ball, or on the side of the box on the sticker?

Sounds like it was the side of the ball that was on display.

The ball was on "display", not the box. The large letters on the ball itself displaying the name of the ball had the letter sequence,

"DESTPUCTION"

BTW it wasn't a test ball or a comp nor was it labelled a "blem" on the box.

I have not seen any like that yet, either. Maybe it'll become a collector?

Any chance of snapping a picture of the ball next time you get to the shop?

Combine that w/the Hammer "Sauce" & you have a great combo.

I've seen this before.  Looks like sometimes the lasering that writes the capital "R" doesn't get the lower right notch and it comes out looking like a "P" instead.
