last hole in my new bag
« on: August 26, 2014, 08:00:46 PM »
Hey guy need some help with what I should get next and don't mind my screen name I have seen the light lol. But seriously I currently have in my bag a pin down meanstreak beatdown, a pin down meanstreak and a pin up over ring mastermind genius. Just ordered a ringer burgundy and would like your opinion on one more ball as I will be doing a traveling league to houses I have never bowled in so will have no idea what to expect. Thank you guys ahead of time just want a compliment to what I already have.

I would suggest drilling the burgundy ringer pin up to give you more length to use as your drier lane / weakest ball. The burgundy ringer has a strong hook motion downlane. If you are looking for something to open the lane up later in the night when the pin down balls are hooking too early, I would suggest the Fortera Exile or the Brute. Both of these balls are clean through the front part of the lane and have a strong motion off the spot. If you are looking for something a little smoother overall that would fit above the burgundy ringer, then I would suggest a pin up Melee or LT-48. Both of these balls take well to surface changes and would be good for lighter to medium oil conditions. If you are looking for something slightly weaker than a Ringer, then a Strike King would do the job.

I agree with Brandon.   You may need a more angular reaction at some point.  I would also suggest a Fortera Exile or the new Brute.  Not knowing the characteristics of your game you also may need a little stronger or weaker ball than the balls you have.  For a stronger choice, I would suggest the Mastermind or the new Mastermind Intellect.  The Mastermind is a proven best seller in our area that has yet to disappoint.  For a weaker choice, a Strike King would be a good choice.

Thanks for the info guys my stats are 16.5/17 mph avg 425 rev rate. Pap is 4 over 1/2" up. And Brandon I had been thinking about the lt48 because I hear it's very versatile and I had planned on doing the ringer pin up over my ring finger because that is my safe drilling. Once again thanks guys.

In my experience, the LT48 is more versatile than the Burgundy Ringer and has more recovery on the backend if you miss right.  Both are great balls on a light to medium shot.
