Can anyone give me an idea about the different fuzes?  What were the reactions like, which ones did you like, compare with some newer releases?

Don't know much about the Navy Fuze, but if I remember right, I believe it was particle, so that would make it closest to the Raging Inferno, but I really don't think they'd react very similarly.  As compared to the Inferno line though, the Igniter reacts most like the Smokin (or maybe the Intense), the Purple Fuze reacts most like the Smokin too, the Raging Red (quite possibly the best ball ever made) reacts like the Absolute, the Detonator doesn't really react like any of the Infernos, it's more like a BVP Goliath, and the Eliminator is most like the Ultimate.  Loved my 2 Purples and all 3 of my Raging Reds.  The Detonator was probably the best one for me though, had a lot of good sets with it.  Great length and recovery for a particle ball, very smooth and predictable.

Navy Fuze- Particle with High RG.  Got down the lane very well and was smooth in the back.  One of the longest particle solids I've ever seen.  Powergroove Particle solid would be a close replacement.

Purple Pearl- Reactive Pearl with low Diff.  Great control ball on mediums, killed medium-light when the track broke down.  This was a heavy handed player's dream ball.  Very similar to the Columbia Blue Pulse.

Fuze Detonator- Medium load strong particle ball.  Great for all heavier oils.  Rolled early but still had enough to get around the corner on the backend.  

Raging Red Fuze- The ball that defined Skid-Flip from Brunswick.  Jacknifes off the dry boards harder than most balls still in current production.  This along with Intense Inferno are probaly the most angular balls Brunswick ever produced.

Igniter- This was a flippy but less aggressive ball than the Raging Red Fuze.  Was a little smoother off dry boards than the Red Fuze, but did not like oil down the lane.  The Cover was strong enough to use on a freshly oiled Medium shot and strong enough to get inside and wheel it back on anything lighter.  

Fuze Eliminator- The Cult Classic of the Fuze line.  It's Parker's favorite ball and was a God-send for players with hand that needed something strong yet versatile.  This was one of the balls you can start out a long block with and finish with the same ball which is great for tournament players.  Hopefully the Ambush gives a similar read.
