smokin' inferno
« on: June 13, 2005, 02:12:49 PM »
i e-mailed tom tomaras of brunswick over the weekend to seek his advice about my proposed arsenal for the upcoming year. this arsenal included the goliath, absolute inferno, and the punisher. he said it looked pretty good to him but that he would wait till after the smokin' inferno came out. he said during the mini-eliminator, which is coming up at the end of june, brunswick will probably drill up 300-400 smokin' infernos. he hinted that the smokin' inferno may be a better all-around choice than the absolute inferno. wow, that's saying something ! i can't wait to hear his report on this ball.

Gah... More angular.. whoopee.

I've gotta give them credit, Brunswick keeps trying. But they have to know that their bread & butter is their even rolling motion. Look at how Big B is just dominating everyone right now... there's a reason for this.

Where do I go to subscribe to "Bowling this Month"?
Sorry, I know, a little off topic.

I agree with what you say about our characteristical reactions, but we still have a need to try and fit holes. Eventhough a ball might have a skid flip type of reaction in our line, it still will have a smoother reaction-comparable do to the properties of our additives and the characteristics of our coverstocks.

We can try can't we!

Absolutely. And I'll probably end up trying it anyway.

Skid/flip balls have never worked for me in the past, but if the Smokin' still retains the smoothness of the activator coverstock, maybe this one will be a different story.

I wont be a naysayer until I try it.

So, this is the 3rd attempt to create a high RG ball in the Inferno line and a Acticator coverstock that REALLY works on more than one specific condition?
Well, can't wait for pics, though.

So it has activator advance, and a higher rg core, which will create the most angular inferno to date, according to the BTM.
