Hi folks,
Ive had a lot of succsess with my Smokin and want to pick up a ball or two to handle tougher oil patterns, heavier oil and lots of carry down. Its lable drilled 2L and im a medium speed, med rev right hander. I usually play a down and in shot with it, standing around the center of the lane and targeting anywhere from the 12 to 5 board, adjusting as needed. Its a great ball for THS, but I will be doing a lot of tourneys and traveling and need to be prepared.
I rarely see dry conditions and if I cant get the SI into the pocket I have a tropical storm I can go to that im happy with. When there is a lot of oil or carry down or a flat pattern I have a Storm Trifecta that I use, but am not that happy with it.
So what im looking for is ball and drilling suggestions. Here is what ive been thinking of:
BVP Ambush, I like using a polished ball, but am not sure if the particle in it would be enough to handle carrydown and allow it to play the deep angle when needed.
AI, im not familiar with this ball, but from the specs looks like it would be a little more aggresive and even arcing ball.
New Sorching, again not that familiar with this or the UI, my concern would be that it would be too aggresive and force me to always play deep inside. I prefer to play the outside line and only move in deep when needed.
