I have a Roto Grip Silver Streak Pearl that I absolutly love and dont want to give up, however the ball is has been plugged, and seen about 200 games on it, with me putting only about 50. It doesnt react the same as it use too, but I still manage. I am looking for a Brunswick ball with the same type of cover and weight block that will give me the same reaction. Which ball do you think is the most comparable. Perhaps the Raging Inferno?

I'm glad to see that the SSP has worked out for you
My $.02, I don't believe the Raging will be the same, it's a particle pearl whereas the SSP is a reactive pearl. If you're looking for something similar, maybe take a look at either the Red Zone (reactive, though not pearl) or the Vapor Zone (pearlized, and should give you similar midlane reaction as the SSP). If you want to look at a little more inexpensive route, maybe take a hard look at the BVP Rampage.
I know Nick and some of the other "nation" members would have more input, but these are my suggestions

Smokin!!!!!!!!! or possibly Blazing. I believe the cover on the Vapor and Red are a bit stronger and may supply a slightly earlier read.

So I was digging through my closet, and I found a Igniter!! I am woundering if this ball will do the trick? It will need to be plugged and redrilled, along with a good resurface. It may read the lane a little better, and be very controlling. My SSP is a good ball, but my only complaint is that at times, it will hang too much, and makes a big snap. I like for control.

The Igniter will go longer than the Infernos. It has a coverstock from a former generation, and it is very hard. Might be very snappy, though, as you describe it. If you want control out of it, either put the pin under the fingers for an earlier read (should work well with the hard coverstock), or try a label drilling. This will give the ball good mid lane read and tame down the back end (going rather straight), but with good energy for the pin deck. Should be worth a try.

I'd personally go with the Zone Classic as a replacement.
That ball will outstrip any lasting thought of your SSP.

I would say either a Zone Classic or possibly a Rampage. Both will give you the reaction you saw (if drilled similar) to your SSP with the Zone having more backend. Cant go wrong with either ball.

I'll probably go with the Zone Classic, just because it will be a newer ball, and I plan on bowling in some tournaments as well this year. I dont like to plug a bunch of stuff and get them drilled, unless its a despreat need. thanks guys.
