Layout for Power Groove?

I'm getting a NIB power groove ice blue pearl from a BR member, so I have an actual light oil ball.

WHat kind of layout should I use?  I mean, do I have to drill it strong, or is this ball capable on its own?

Yeah, I wanted an angular layout.  I have an old urethane ball for control, but I wanted an angular ball too.  I think I'll end up putting the pin over the ring, maybe right a little if I want.

I heard a long time ago that the different groove colors react slightly differently, is it true?

Remember this addage strong balls weak and weak balls strong.

This ball is not weak per say but it has a very high rg so unless one is very strong handed do not use a long pin to PAP distance as this will make the ball longer.

Pick one of your moderately strong pin positions (ie 3 3/8 to 4 1/4 pin to pap for most) and then one can label it by placing cg to end with 3/4 side weight.

Then adjust weighthole based on reaction.

I actually have a Dynamic Groove drilled like 4 X 4 1/2 and love it!!!  What strong backend with easy ability to get length in agreement with the Kleistmeister!.

I should have used it more this year on wood that wasn't very wet, I tried to force the Sonic X which didn't have enough backend.  This core does!

Ok, I was thinking maybe something like pin over bridge, CG stacked below......Since I'm a very high tracking tweener, you think that give me some length and a good pop on the backend?

You kidding?

Maybe recently, but back in my hey day of the 600 series and what not before that, I was a very high tracker......my smashr flared over the thumbhole even, which is why I sold it..........

Question does not compute, pin over bridge means nothing if you don't know PAP.

For a high tracker pin over bridge is too far on this ball.  For a low tracker not bad.

Find out your PAP.
