LT - King - or Grease Monkey
« on: June 25, 2014, 12:39:14 PM »
First post - go easy on me!

Been wanting a ball below my beloved melee, which has a 1" pin drilled under ring with a weight hole. Was thinking one of these three. Any thoughts on which direction to go? Would like a more control piece like the melee
Basic stats: Low revs (teammates jokingly tell me 3 rpm); high track; about 16.75 on quibica. No clue PAP.

BTY: will be changing profile name as there are about 10 others similar profile names. Too bad you cannot see the members list until you get a sign on.

Johnny P is a little stronger down the lane than the Melee but with similar length.
Grease Monkey rolls up a little earlier than the Melee.
The Strike King would be straighter than the Melee

Thanks for the response. I will certainly now go Strike King for the ball down option. Sounds like the Grease Monkey may be an option on the ball up option, that would fit the gap between melee and mastermind.

I would lean you towards the original diva to fill that gap. It's a great medium ball

Strike King is a step down but with the right layout and surface it can actually have more backend then the Melee in my opinion.  The LT-48 is another control piece but a step up from the Melee.  Go with the SK.

Depending upon the surface of the Melee, the LT-48 would be a good step down.  It's not much weaker than the Melee, but it has a weaker core and cover.  Also, you said you wanted a control piece like the Melee and the LT-48 is a perfect light oil control piece.
