Is it similar to copperhead in reaction was looking at the numbers....than was looking at Brunswick ball comparison chart looks like thier 3rd strongest ball...wtf very confusing...needs some explaning

When it comes to a ball's ability to traction in oil, cover > core and the Magnitude definitely has a strong coverstock

Diff of .035 not that strong on backend...might be a strong cover but doesn't justify be third strongest on chart...ahead of quantum black and infernos...whatever they want to do..just wanted to point that out.. ???

Cover is more of a factor than core when it comes to being able to handle oil. If the Magnitude .035 has a strong cover then it makes sense that Brunswick placed it that high on the ball chart. A ball doesn't have to go crazy on the backed to have a strong motion overall. It sounds like that was the intent for the Magnitude too. Strong, yet controlled arc that many like for patterns that aren't walled up.

And for what it's worth the Magnitude comes at 500/2000 sanded. The Quantum Classic Black and Vintage Inferno are polished with the Inferno Blue Flame coming in at 4000 sanded. I'm sure that had a lot to do with their placement on the ball chart.

In terms of oil capabilities, the Magnitude seems to be able to handle more oil than the Black Quatum and Inferno.

Seems to be in between the IQ Tour and Dare Devil Trick for oil capability.

Looks like Brunswick is trying to create an iQ Tour for Brunswick loyalists. --- same color scheme and targeted ball reaction.

This ball is starting to be a favorite to have on league shots. Not whimpy by any stretch, but a controlled arc back to the pocket. No over/under at the factory finish. 

To say it was similar to the IQ Tour would be a nice compliment as that seems to be a staple in my friend's bag.  Call it whatever you like but this one is deceptively good.

How many games do you have on yours so far? 

What do you think a diff of .035 means in ball reaction?

Strong on backend and oil handling capability are 2 totally different things. On a house shot, I had a Link (S30) hook more than my Break S75. Obviously on a flatter more fair shot, the S75 is going to be the ball to start out with, because the Link was a dart unless there was friction. I also had a King Cobra that was at 2000, and I couldn't get the thing down the lane with that surface at all (F55). My lower diff equipment just means my ball isn't going to jump gonzo left at the first sign of friction, so it's much more readable, but maybe that's not what some people see as total hook.
