Ok gang,

I need a little help from the Brunswick knowledge base.  I am looking for a great ths and shorter sport pattern ball.  Our house pattern is 10-10 40ft., with cheap oil that all but disappears the last game.

My quick stats are:  speed 14mph at the pins (22 in the gutter!), revs (just a guess, never measured)low side of medium.  High tracker.  All my balls are drilled pin over for fear of rolling over the holes.

I like the reactions of solids, but by the middle of the second game, they are burning up, plus swing it and bring it is not my A game.  I have a T road pearl that at times looks good but that over/under reaction is a bummer.

I have done the works to my current arsenal on grits, polish, no polish, none of which works for too many frames.  I have medium-heavy oil covered well and this ball would be basically a medium oil ball with nothing over 41ft.

Anyway, what I am looking for is a ball that a guy can go down and in for several games, that doesn't go nuts when it sees the dry, but can still move if there is some oil.  I know there is no 300 in a box, but our lanes are driving me crazy trying to out guess the oil movement and evaporation.

Any help would be appreciated.

Red Zone, Twisted, Rampage, Fury pearl, Avalanche solid... It just depends on how often your oil pattern is extremely short.

Been there and tried to do that.  None of my balls have been oil soaked because of all the sanding and polishing I've done to them.

As far as release I've tried those too. Up the back has been the most consistent unless I pull it. (tend to do that)

I wouldn't normally get a new ball but the B-day is coming up and the wife wants to know what to get.  That's the best way to get a ball without any of the trouble.

I've been researching two balls, the twisted and the solid avalanche.  I have seen one twisted on the viper pattern and it looked good and carried great.  I have not seen a s. avalanche except in the videos and those guys never miss.
